Muriel McKay

Muriel was raised on a small farm in Alberta. Her memories of food revolve around the growing and preserving of garden harvest, raising farm animals for food, hunting and fishing. Muriel has been a lifelong entrepreneur with over 40 years experience. Her latest endeavours include a successful food truck and catering company shared with her husband, Steve, right here in the Comox Valley. Taking care of people through food has been a common thread throughout Muriel’s life that continues to bring her so much joy.

Steve McKay

A Red Seal Chef of 37 years and Le Cordon Bleu level 1 certified, Steve is never one to rest on his laurels. He is always striving for innovative approaches to tried and tested recipes and staying current on new cooking techniques. Steve’s kitchen experience ranges from down home diners to 5 star restaurants. Currently Chef Steve is the talent behind the food truck and catering company he owns with his wife, Muriel. Drawing inspiration from his mother, he is quick to adapt to any situation or location when preparing food and doing it with flare.
